Simón Valencia, a 58-year-old indigenous Kubeo anthropologist, is eager to recover the traditions of his people. He discovers how an entire ethnic group has lost its willingness to maintain its original culture, despite the fact that this is something they have fought for centuries. The Kubeos, a tribe from southeastern Colombia, are on the verge of losing their culture and all that it encompasses. The generation that knows the traditions is dying, and the new generations refuse to learn and carry on the tradition, influenced by different social and cultural factors.
